2003 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra - $17,900
![]() 03/06/2014 at 16:55 |

The kind of person that hates on a SVT Cobra probably likes whacking baby Seals in the head with a wooden baseball bat.

I would agree
![]() 03/06/2014 at 16:55 |

I second this, except I also sense that there will be some controversy about the price.

you are never going to get everyone to agreed. like that one guy who thinks: if its not a miata its crap.
i thought the supra's were decent.
this...meh. i'm neutral.

Thats it .. IRS , Supercharger , 4V , Best interior out of any mustang till the newest body style . and FR500's fit like a pair of fake tits on a blonde.
![]() 03/06/2014 at 16:59 |
|
I like it, but that interior is so awful - too much red. I much prefer the seats with the grey suede.
![]() 03/06/2014 at 16:59 |
|
Yeah go buy this one...but check with your insurance company first because your yearly premium might be half of what the car costs.
![]() 03/06/2014 at 17:00 |

10th ann'y Cobras >> FR500s
![]() 03/06/2014 at 17:00 |
|
Or probably just hates that that other guy's car is just a pulley swap and a tune away from 100 more HP. It's just not fair, damnit!

shaker hood is the coolest of hoods
![]() 03/06/2014 at 17:03 |
|
But the shaker doesnt work
![]() 03/06/2014 at 17:03 |
|
what u mean it doesnt work?!
I was always under the impression that was functional.
![]() 03/06/2014 at 17:03 |
|
I prefer using kittens actually, and sometimes puppies. It's even better with an audience of young children.
Seriously though, it's a fast car and I fully respect what it can do, but that generation just doesn't do much for me, though it was an improvement over the generation previous.
![]() 03/06/2014 at 17:04 |
|
To be honest, I'd be pretty fucking jelly too if someone could get a few hundred horsepower by simply touching their engine bay.
![]() 03/06/2014 at 17:04 |
|
When you super charge it you have to take out the piping for it
![]() 03/06/2014 at 17:05 |
|
I don't mind really because its the 10th anniversary edition int
![]() 03/06/2014 at 17:05 |

![]() 03/06/2014 at 17:05 |
|
Maybe but if its under my fathers name it wont be
![]() 03/06/2014 at 17:06 |
|
Well these are just in the 250 mile range of my area I'm sure thereis a cheaper ones else where
![]() 03/06/2014 at 17:08 |
|
Yeah, nice looking and performing cars, I'd pay $15,000.
![]() 03/06/2014 at 17:09 |
|
Eh not bad but would rather have a ls1 forth gen f body
![]() 03/06/2014 at 17:09 |
|
I'm not a GM fan
![]() 03/06/2014 at 17:12 |
|
Can't beat the prices though, 5-7k for a base Z28 or trans am or mid 20s for low mile perfect SS /WS6 cars even the GMMG cars are somewhat reasonable depending on the car
![]() 03/06/2014 at 17:14 |
|
Beautiful! Price is a couple thousand high, but pretty close.
![]() 03/06/2014 at 17:15 |
|
I just think the looks are god aweful on them and they are every where down in southern MO where I am at
![]() 03/06/2014 at 17:16 |
|
As long as we can get a wing from a Cobra R and a super charger, I'm good.
![]() 03/06/2014 at 17:19 |
|
To each their own, If someone gave me that mustang I would rip the motor out and stick a Ls6 in it just for the fun and because I can't stand overhead cam motors.
![]() 03/06/2014 at 17:21 |
|
You sound like this guy I knew at my Community College took out all the cobra motors and replaced them with pushrod ones
![]() 03/06/2014 at 17:24 |
|
That sounds like something I would do, well I kinda do, both of the fords in the family are Chevy powered
![]() 03/06/2014 at 17:26 |
|
Which previous generation?
![]() 03/06/2014 at 17:27 |
|
find a cobra based saleen s281 and we're golden
![]() 03/06/2014 at 17:28 |
|
Like Cherry said, functional on stock cars, not once you supercharge it. I suppose you could get around that, but you'd have a rats nest of piping to move the air around from the shaker hood, down to the supercharger, and then back up to the intake.
![]() 03/06/2014 at 17:38 |
|
They're starting to see some serious price creep, unfortunately.
![]() 03/06/2014 at 17:44 |
|
Yeah. I would rather trap beaver. :)
![]() 03/06/2014 at 19:01 |
|
I swear I'm going to do everything in my power to make my next car a termi. No 10th anniversary for me though, I just really dislike the color red for some reason. I'd also consider a fox body with irs and 4v swaps, but the lines of terminators are just so sexy.
![]() 03/06/2014 at 19:01 |
|
Could always go mach 1
![]() 03/06/2014 at 19:08 |
|
My friend I worked with at the ford dealer had a mach 1, they are very nice, I like them a lot too. I kind of want irs though, even though it's not a perfect setup. If the right one came along I could live with a solid axle though. Then again, after pdi'ing coyote with the Brembo package, I fell in love. So many choices...
![]() 03/06/2014 at 19:17 |
|
With mustang you can always turn them into what you want. get a macha nd put the cobra irs on ti
![]() 03/06/2014 at 19:18 |
|
The 94-98 style.
![]() 03/06/2014 at 19:35 |
|
The 94-98 Cobras are very different, but otherwise, all 99-2004 GTs and V6s share the same chassis, interior, engines (though with tweaks as time went on) as the 1994-1998 models. The only real difference is the body panels over top of them.
![]() 03/07/2014 at 11:41 |
|
I get what you're saying now!
I thought you were saying that it was never functional on any of the cars.
ok go buy a Mach 1 because shaker hood.
![]() 03/07/2014 at 11:43 |
|
I understand now, I was under the impression he meant they never worked on any of them, that it was a cosmetic scoop!
![]() 03/07/2014 at 11:43 |
|
Maybe If I could find one in my area also go look at my post I made last night about a 1973 torino

http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/ctd/433942… (In case link dies: 2012 Mustang GT, 6 speed manual with 41 k, red leather - OP likes that - and $22k)
Because reliability and better handling (and more horsepower, and more safety, and more.. you get the idea..) Although I do like the terminator, 390 horsepower just seems a bit light these days..
