It's a T5R engine. Still a gnarly one, that.
One example tried to smash my thumb for not being in first (all the freaking way). And this was with an S60R manual.

It has a T5 straight five. I don't know much about Volvos, but I am not sure if this car came with the engine or not. I think there was the option, not 100% sure.
