I was gonna do a writeup about diecast cars this past weekend, about customizing them and how to get started, but some stuff got in the way... Sorry Mkolabin, I'll try to do something for this next weekend. :p

I had that exact car in a slot-car version for a Tomy AFX set. Sent it flying off the track so often I wrecked the spoilers on it, of course.

Awesome. My oldest toy was a Senna McLaren of some sort, though it wasn't a diecast. There's a bit of an odd story behind it, but it was a wooden toy, surprisingly accurate too, and I still have it, though I also worked wonders with the spoilers, hahahha....

Just a random picture I found off the Internet. Those are much bigger scaled than what I collect as well, though I was finally able to locate a Kyosho MP4/6 for my collection in a store here in town. I'm going there tomorrow or the day after to pick it up, since stores have been closed yesterday and today for Carnaval.

I just realized these tires have the wrong lettering color. In 1990, F1 tires were white lettered Goodyears, these are yellow.

you wouldn't believe how much of a PITA it was to clean those off without breaking any little plastic bits. some are built, some are bought.
