It's Tuesday. Tuesdays suck. They especially suck when a country is waving their military might by shooting off intercontinental missiles. To continue with the 80's and to go with the theme of Russia wanting to rule the world I figured for the rest of the week I'd do 80's Russia/Ukraine theme.
I thought Public Enemy - Fight the Power was from the 80's, turns out it was released 1990, but here it is anyway for you all to enjoy:

I only sing karaoke to Tears for Fears. I also tried Flock of Seagulls once, but that didn't go over so well.

Had to comment and throw out major props simply for the TFF inclusion. They have literally shot straight up to become my musical obsession these past couple years.
I mean, I've always liked their singles that've been popular on the radio these past 20-30 years, but those are only a handful of their entire collection and only somewhat recently have I discovered the rest of their songs and talents and realized how truly amazing and genius Roland and Curt are.
It's one of my personal goals to see them live before they hang it up.

They definitely are a solid group and simply got overshadowed by the many big bands out there at the time. Wow, I legit didn't even know they still played. I may have to see them as well.

I'm getting a good laugh at this, as I too have tried A Flock of Seagulls and it went down miserably. I can only assume anyone that has tried karaoke has made this attempt; and the only natural result for all was to run far away (so far away).
Edit: totally have this song stuck in my head now and dreaming of playing grand theft auto: vice city.

It does indeed, but not quite for reasons related to the songs here. The US military (and President) already know all about Russia's capability. It's posturing for the public.

Excellent cover. Excellent band. I saw then in either 04/05/06 haha can't remember at all. They out on a great concert regardless
