This is the new Maserati Alfieri Concept car. I'll give you a moment to take it all in.

I'm going to call it how I see it right out of the blocks here; I think this is better looking than the Jaguar F-Type.

Actually, I think that this could be one of the most beautiful cars I have ever set my eyes upon. Not too much is known about this stunning piece of automotive art yet, so I really can't talk much more about it, but I expect Maserati will be putting this into production quite soon in order to take on (and I think thrash) the Jaguar F-Type. Maserati if you're reading this and have any doubts at all... PLEASE MAKE THIS CAR!

For now, I'll leave you with Maserati's teaser video from YouTube and some more beautiful shots taken from their website for this new car; !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

Go and check it out.

It's weird, I see a lot of Ford Evos and Aston Martin One-77 in this. I like it. On another note, I wish Ford would put the Evos into production.

I see a bit of Lexus LFA at the back, and that's not a bad thing either. I won't lie to you Osiris... I'm totally in love with this car. I want to propose to it.

Iwas trying so hard to figure out what the rear-end reminded me of. And I could not for the life of me remember what it was. LFA. That's it. It's perfect. I just hope that if Maserati actually puts this into production that it looks more like this concept.

I like the current GranTurismo better. But who knows what they will change between the concept and production.

I really hope it does. I think if they put this into production with the right heart inside it and at a competitive price it will wipe the floor with the F-Type. Bold claim I know, but just look at it!!

It's a Maserati too, so its automatically the coolest thing ever and you just know it's going to sound as good as it does in the teaser clip.

You never know. The final version might be very different from this, but I really hope it isn't because I think this is stunning. I love the Gran Turismo too.

Actually, I love all Maserati's. They make some of the coolest, best looking and best sounding cars in the world.

I agree with you...more so for the fact that I really just don't like Jag's. Either way though, it's going to be awesome.

I'm not a huge Jaguar fan myself despite my English roots, but the F-Type was genius.

This though... it's just on a whole other level.

I'm an American, who grew up 4-wheeling and now lives in Alaska. I'm happier with a beater truck or car that can handle itself on dirt than with something I'd be afraid to get dirt on. Granted, if someone gave me a GTR and told me to have fun, oh there would be so much fun having turning a GTR into a Rally GTR.

Unfortunately I live in a rural area of Devon and Maserati dealers are very far from me here. Otherwise I would, I'd do anything for those guys haha!!

I hear everything you're saying, I love the Gran Turismo too but this new Alfieri is absolutely amazing. It's easily the best looking car I've seen come out for a long, long time.

Alfieri was the name of the founder of Maserati. So its a perfectly good name!

Should have started working on something like this the moment Aston released the V8 Vantage though.

THIS IS HOW YOU DESIGN A ROOF!!!

This is why this concept is GORGEOUS, and the current Gran Tourismo is not.

Kinja'd!!!

The kink in the side window sill is even cool. (Hyundai Genesis tried to add drama along that line, but missed the mark... this is properly done.)

They have finally made a gorgeous car again... the current car is awkwardly bulbous in places, and too beaky on the front.

Alfieri's front end is curvaceous and dramatic, not awkwardly pointed. The tail is also very well finished.

They have actually tried to up their game to even approach Ian Callum's F-type, and they may actually compete with this car, if the production car looks even close to this gorgeous concept.

Alfieri is far, FAR better than Grantourismo. Although, Alfieri seems like a name for a halo sport coupe in Maserati's sister-brand Alfa Romeo...

This car as a production car may need an M-name.

Good to know the historical context.

Usually when I see any italian car name that starts with Alf___ I think Alfa, like Alfetta and Alfasud.
