Any common issues we should know about? About to pressure test the system to find out of there is a leak.

pressure test is your best bet. helps to have the bottom of the engine visible. (i dunno if they have bellypans or not, but i know they're low.)

Check the transmission. It is a Mopar, after all :)

Had a 96 1500 that had 107k on it and was due for tranny #3. Replaced first one at 62k miles.

We've had:
93 Voyager
97 Dakota
03 2500
98 1500
95 Dakota 5mt

The only one to not receive at least one replacement trans is the 95.

It's a manual. Don't they last 2-3X as long?

It's an NV3500. They last an order of magnitude longer, that's for damn sure.

EDIT Also forgot, had a '91 Shadow ES Turbo 'Vert 5mt. Again no trans issues. Kinda miss it actually.
