My plane from Fort Lauderdale got back into DC at 9:00 last night. Stepping off that plane in a T-shirt and shorts was a sobering experience. In two and a half hours, I'd gone from 82 degrees to 16 degrees and blizzard conditions.

Sand and sun is all well and good, but the best thing about the trip was the cars. Down in the Bahamas, I saw all kinds of weird Caribbean cars that we don't get in the States. Nissan Primeras, Sunnys, Marches, Skylines, Bluebirds, and Glorias, Toyota Windoms, Altezzas, and Harriers (all Lexus in the US), the Euro Honda Accord (Acura TSX in the US), Mercedes A-Class, and so on. Most of the taxis were Mitsubishi L300 vans, which I haven't otherwise seen in years.

In Lauderdale, I saw a couple Ghiblis, a Ferrari FF, a Maybach 57, and the first Rolls-Royce Wraith I've seen in the wild. Pictures to come just as soon as I upload them!

I'd say it's good to be back, but honestly, I'm missing that Caribbean weather. How are you guys? Did I miss anything big in the last week? Kinja up to its usual hijinks?

I know how that feels.

I spent a week near Naples last month, then flew back to GR,MI. We were delayed in Detriot because the GR airport was closed to plow the runways. Naples had some sweet rides, I saw a few 993s and a bunch of Ferraris. Sadly, no pics.

John Hennessey was in for Q+A. The Venom just broke 270.

Fuck the new kinja.
