From Caddy to Audi and the Germanic entries of BMW and Mercedes; I want you to show me the hottest wagons currently available in North America.
And which one you'd pick.

e63 AMG. Source: Edmunds.com
Since it's the most powerful wagon on sale in the US, it's the one I'd take.

The new Jag is the sexiest available though

Niiiice play.
"I'd take an FF, but not just any FF, this FF because it's super cheap and already broken in. Don't need to worry about fires, with this one."
That should be a selling point for Ferrari's; pre-fired.

The 2014 CTS-V is still in production.
I'd take this with a manual, though the E63 S wagon looks good and has AWD.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but there's no manual/stick option for this car? Just the 8(?) speed?

On the inside, I'd agree. I love the CTS-V Sport Wagon, deeply, but that interior feel is somewhat disappointing when stacked up against the Germans (or that particular Englishenmobile).

It's a part of Ferrari's CPC program (Certified Pre-Combusted), it's been put through a multi-point inspection by a team of certified insurance appraisers to be worth at least $7.38 as it sits now.

For a very short time, but yes. And my #1 pick, too.

Yeah, that's the downside. Although, Merc's manuals are notoriously terrible.
Try finding a decent manual, wagon, with gobs of power (aside from the odd duck CTS-V). It's nigh impossible. Which is why I'll stick with my A4 avant (manual) with adequate power.

That door panel looks to be undamaged. Surely that's worth more than the $8?

I'm a manual purist - I'll never accept the autoboxes over rowing my own, but... in a DD? I might.
Shut up.

The interior is something I can forgive, especially when looking at all the competition's drivetrains/engines/transmissions.

it's been pre-disastered !

For a more pedestrian choice, I'd bend the rules a bit and pick the current Subaru Impreza WRX STI 5-door, since a lot of people refer to it as a wagon even though I'm pretty sure that it's a hatchback.

Ditto.

See everyone has gone for the standard 4 door + hatch estate. I prefer the modern incarnation of the 2 door wagon. In fact, I bought one!

I'd still dd an FF if given to me. It's the only Ferrari I've ever actually wanted.

Let's not have that discussion.

Kinja'd!
![]() 03/03/2014 at 19:30 |

For some reason, it was on the new Kinja. So I've switched back to the old one.

The only one? Really?
![]() 03/03/2014 at 19:31 |

And then you need to take it to hennessey and get it twin turbo'd

A nasty, trollish part of me wants to scream, "THAT'S NOT A WAGON!"
But I'm keeping it in check.
Oh...
... wait.

Totally considering it's output numbers from 2009 are on par with the 2014 Germans.

You're right. It's a shooting brake.

No one has mentioned these yet?....Really guys?
And coming soon-

Ugh!
Resist urge.
Agree. Just agree.
Agreed!

Such control.
Much safe.
Wow Swede.
Some power, too.
But not much.
(HAHA! /troll!)

Once the CTS-V is gone this will be the hottest wagon under 100k...and while it is still a cool wagon that is sad.
![]() 03/03/2014 at 20:17 |

I agree vehemently. And it's not our fault.
It's the fault of people who'll happily spend upwards of $40K on an appliance.

I've never been a Ferrari fan.

I don't think a shooting brake has more than 2 doors on the sides of the car.

I was thinking about that for my next car. I might go the "fun car for weekends and slushie DD" route.
