...and I found a guy ranting in the comments about how freeskiing and all Olympic sports with any sort of danger should be banned because they are dangerous. Apparently skiing is a blood sport guys. I bet he loves auto racing.

I think the wax must prevent some damage, but ultimately, it going to chip and scratch eventually. People like these guy usually get new skis every season

As being a free skier myself. these guys have many pairs of skis just for "urban." These riders such as Karl (in the video) break multiple pairs a season. I myself have 3 pairs of park skis for the reason of breaking so many.

I have a friend who is fairly into freeskiing and competes in various jib contests and what not, and I've never heard of him breaking skis. Although I wouldn't doubt he has/gets multiple sets from his sponsor, so that might be why
