On my way to work this morning I saw something that I'm 90% sure doesn't exist. I saw a old W124 wagon, in blue, that said "E320" on one side and "AMG" on the other. It also had a front air dam with fog lights that didn't look like something you'd find on a base model car or so.
^It was actually this color, but that car is not an AMG its a custom build.
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! posted a shot of his neighbors car on pg 2, it looks like what I saw today except in silver.
I have to guess they don't exist for real since I can't find much on them, and its not listed on wikipedia as existing.

Many people will buy an AMG badge online and stick it on. This way too common in NYC. I'm not sure why people do it. The type of person who would notice and be impressed by an AMG badge would also probably know that the car isn't a real AMG...

Fake. It's a regular E320 with AMG badges

My preferred course of action is to play stupid and ask them about it. "Hey man that's a nice AMG, what kind of engine does it have?" or something to that effect.
I've actually had one person admit it straight up. He was driving an R129 SL500 but with badges that read SL73 AMG invoking it had the ultra rare 7.3L AMG V12 later featured in the Zonda. I was lane-splitting up to the front of the red light line and saw it, skidded to a stop and excitedly asked him if it was real. He laughed and so no, that if was he wouldn't drive it on the street! Seemed like a decent guy, we laughed and he told me to ride safe and that was that.
