Pros: Who else has an R12?
Cons: Not MPG, GPM = gallons per mile, plus you need a second gas tank just for the engine oil.

I was just about to make an engine oil joke.

Are rotaries like a giant lego set where you can just keep piecing rotors together until you get the motor you want?

This calls for more than one boner-related .gif

PLOT TWIST: remember those radial aircraft piston engines?
what if u arrange the banks of ur 4 rotor rotary engines in a radial composition?
like 5 bank 4 rotor star!!! BOOM radial rotary!

Three banks of four rotors, for 1400hp, which may TRIPLE with turbos and race gas.
So a single four rotor bank should be good for 470ish hp without turbos, and weigh 275 lbs?

Is that a Rolls Royce X-24 Vulture engine?

Holy overheating engine batman!
That seems like an awful way to arrange an aircooled engine. This is better

Google RIS

It's basically the same sort of engine. Remember, the air is flowing past it at whatever speed the plane is going, and it had metal on the side to force the air over the engine.

Allison X-4520. Interesting. Nobody ever did get their X-pattern engines working acceptably. H-24, on the other hand...
