I will wait for the track times. But I am going to keep watching.

GT-R with what appears to be an LS-swap.
![]() 03/02/2014 at 00:26 |

ehh, of all the cars to get an LS swap, this one i'm not excited for. why? cuz alpha already showed you can get 2k hp out of it. so why bother with an engine swap? all it does is make it different. not better

Somewhere, a Japanese engineer is committing Seppuku.

im a fan of Japanese RWD cars... and LS swaps... buuuut....
If it has a manual, i'm for it! :]

AT LAST THEY HAVE REVENGE.

Meh.. give it a Twincharged R26B I say. (nope.. I do NOT mean a RB26)

LS swaps are for philistines.
![]() 03/02/2014 at 01:55 |

A built LS motor can make over 2000 hp, but with less turbo lag.

Did they? I can't see the transmission to see if it's manual, and thus fixed, or not D:

Nope, it still doesn't make sense.

I'm sorry.

I think someone who buys a 100,000 dollar GT-R is more materialistic than the guy doing a 600 dollar engine swap
just sayin
![]() 03/02/2014 at 05:03 |

That one was a proven fake lol
![]() 03/02/2014 at 05:10 |
|
Yep. I'm willing to guess this LS swap'd GT-R is fake too. It's not hooked up to anything, and could you imagine the sheer work it would take to remove the ATTESSA ET-S system, AND the transaxle, AND the engine? Madness, unless you possibly used a C5 transaxle, but then everything around it would have to be custom made.
![]() 03/02/2014 at 05:15 |

It probably is
but somewhere inside of me, I hope someone is wealthy enough to basically ruin a GT-R by doing this.
I hope they use a 9" ford axle and ditch the IRS just to really make people scream.

HERETIC!!!!
![]() 03/02/2014 at 10:09 |

and you mess up the handling. and (probably) loose a bunch of other tech features that work with the other motor.
if its purely s drag car, i can understand. but for a track/street car, not

In other words, "practical".

Sure, we can go with that. Here are some other synomyms: Base, common, inelegant, tasteless, uncultured, unpolished, unrefined, tacky, barbaric.

And practical! Don't forget practical.
![]() 03/02/2014 at 18:36 |

If you build the GTR motor to 2000 hp you're doing the exact same thing, unless the swap loses the awd system.
![]() 03/02/2014 at 19:27 |
|
the guys at alpha kept it as a streetable car. still had aircon, radio, everything.
![]() 03/02/2014 at 19:33 |
|
Remind me what about an engine swap requires removing the air con or radio? People put LS engines in literally everything. If you want streetable power, a LS engine is a much better bet than a twin turbo v6. Even with turbos, there's no replacement for displacement when it comes to low end torque, aka what a streetcar needs.

srry, had a brain fart. thought for some reason AC ran off part of the motor. and i used the radio as in example of the stuff they kept in it
i get ppl put LS's in everything, when that everything has a shit motor. the motor in the GTr can handle tht power, and it handle it reliably. there is no reason to stick in an LS.
just because it can doesnt mean it should be done.
