I would say $10,000 would be fair.

7,500 with the rust that is mentioned is only the start.
Also automatic.

$7-8000 buys a rusted shell where I live. Insanely NP I'd buy this if I could afford it and had more garages.
Fully restored ones are $25-35000 here

Yea it could be sketchy but its also a desert car so rust tend to grow more slowly. And pretty much everything around here is auto. I hate these lazy bastards.

1st gen fastbacks are usually an easy 15K all day. However, the rear quarters are a common problem area. I have seen rust so bad it nearly compromised the shackles on a 66 sprint. 10k might be right if rust is repairable.

This is an old mustang. There is always more rust.

You need to get out of Ohio and into the desert a bit more. I have found cars NOTORIOUS for rust who have spent miserable lives entirely in the desert and have virtually no rust.

I would say 10k depending in how bad the rust is. But figure 4-8k in body and paint. Not a bad project would make a great GT 350 clone

But this one has already had floors and a quarter "replaced".

Too many questions for me. How can paint be shiny but not nice? Car is red, but black in rockers? Rust mentioned in a Nevada car? 65 Stang's came with 289 engines, this is a 302? No picture under the hood?
These cars are so simple, anybody can rebuild one. But if the car has rust, and they couldn't do a cheap repair and repaint, I assume nothing else has been done either. I had a mustang nearly identical to the one below. It 114,000 miles it was totally worn out. The front suspension was shot, the brakes were totally scary. It was hard to keep in one lane. I suspect this one is not much different. Remember, its a 50 year old car.
My opinion, If you want a run around, fun toy mustang, you can probably spend less. If you want this to be a nice Mustang, you can either get more car for the money somewhere else, or be prepared to spend a lot more on this one. Here is a restored 6 cyl one on Bring a Trailer for $9k Link Note that this ad has lots of pictures and the person has obviously put work into the car.
