I'm sorry but that name is just so stupid.

I think it's referring to the 1:1 ratio of power to weight (in kg). Still dumb, but not LaFerrari amounts of dumb.

Those front difuser/spoilers tho. Yikes that thing looks mean. I bet it eats rabbits for breakfast.

I still love the invisible A-pillar on Koenigseggs. I do think the roof looks a bit odd here but the rest of the car is brilliant.

Soooo how about a new design for the next one? You can only pretty up a soap bar for so long. It just looks dated compared to everything else in the super car world.

This isn't the $40,000 commuter car realm. In super car land it's about the numbers you can get from the things... otherwise people would just always buy Lambos.
It's good to see companies with completely different looking super cars even though they are all dealing with the same physics restrictions. It breeds ingenuity.

But ….its soooo old now. Fancy headlights can't hide its 2002 roots.
The slab sided body is so two thousand and late.

I'm sure that's what you would say as a McLaren F1 rolled past as well. Silly fads play a far smaller role when people actually have money to spend on performance.

Wait wat?
They only made the F1 for 6 years. I'm talking about how for instance the Zonda was made for a long time, then Pagani introduced a new car. The One:1 is still based off the same thing that they started making in 2002. Thats a long time to keep refreshing the same product.

What are you talking about? A huge amount has changed under the skin of the Koenigseggs. They are just still a general overall look and feel, like a good brand should be. It's not like it's the same engine, drivetrain, suspension, etc, with just more power added since 2002.

What are you talking about? I've talking about the design the entire time.
Also what? "They are just still a general overall look and feel, like a good brand should be." Uh a normal product cycle is like 6 years, hyper cars might get away with a decade but even the Diablo eventually came along to replace the Countach (which was around forever in the car terms).

I'm confused, what are you looking for them to change. The car doesn't look the same from 2002 to now. On one hand you are saying it didn't change, then on the other you are saying it changed, but not enough. Brands rarely make a radical departure from general design themes/shapes. The 911 has been the same basic shape for longer than many people have been alive, and Lambos have barely changed in design shape since they figured out they were making super cars.
Are you saying they need to suddenly try to mimic the looks of something like a P1 to be more edgy?
How is that evolution (over 40 years) any more radical than this evolution over about 10?

" The car doesn't look the same from 2002 to now." That is where we disagree. I'll keep using lambo as a reference. IMO your saying these two cars don't look the same.
Clearly its a evolution, but its an evolution of the same car. The One:1 still has the same greenhouse, body lines, and blunt nose among other things as the one they debuted in 2002.
I'm sure in the last few years the Countach was out a lot people still liked it, nevertheless the Diablo came out and looked more then a decade newer.
I'm not saying by any means that they need to do a design revolution, their next car should look like a Koenigsegg. I'm just saying they need their Diablo.
