Does anyone know where to find automotive by-model raw sales numbers from a reputable source (preferably .gov websites and official publications, but not absolutely necessary) that doesn't cost money to view?

The best source I've been able to find so far is the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , but I have no way of knowing if they really display the raw data I need without paying up.

If this exists I will be stoked.

I'll be extra stoked if it also listed sales by transmission type. Doubtful, but would be super cool.

Guessing on how many cars came over with a stick makes it very tough to predict the probability of one day finding a used car you like in the color you want with an MT. Some cars came to the US with sticks but only in very small numbers...

I might be confused on your question. Anyway I wanted to know how many 3GTs were sold. Tim said most automakers won't break them down by body style

but the straight-up number of 911s exist?

If that is the case, then this is okay because I only need to separate out by new chassis/model.

If you are looking for Porsche numbers, they don't, as far as I have ever found, exist in public areas. There are basic overall sales. And they've released certain percentages in the past. But they seem to be really restrained in what data they release.

I'm looking for sales number from every manufacturer of every general model (or as near as I can get).

I emailed Matt to see if he knew where to get them, but I'm hesitant on assuming he is going to respond to me.

Good luck. I've looked in the past. Never found them. Had others try to prove that they could and they couldn't either. But that doesn't mean they aren't.
