!!! UNKNOWN HEADER TYPE (MULTI-LINE BREAK?) !!!

I really like the part where he talks about the "the pcb box or something, I'm not really sure what the three letters are but I think pcb sounds right" that need replacing. Anyway, it might make s decent project for someone out here. it's a manual at least. Not sure if the thule comes with it.

Ahh yes I've spent a lot of time looking at this ad because I'm in the DC area and it's unfortunately one of the cheapest E36's haha..

If my mechanic gives it a thumbs up, NP but I'd lowball him anyway, guy doesn't seem to know very much about E36's.

And that's not the only time he talks about this pcb box....

It needs very little to get it into great running condition. It leaks coolant from the "pcb" box I believe the name of the part is called. It is at the top of the engine, and you can literally start the engine, and watch coolant leak out of the top of the engine, from this little portion of the engine. According to BMW friends of mine, it is called the pcb box.

He could've halved the length of this ad if he just used that google box....

I saw the ad maybe a week and a half ago, surprised it's still up. If he's willing to go for $1000 flat and is willing to let me bring my mechanic to take a look at it, it'll be hooned immediately!

It's just about 10 here on the East coast, so I'm gonna have to hold off until tomorrow but I'm already sourcing parts/mods that the car needs haha!

Only one way to find out... Might be able to sell off that sub to pay for parts too!

Aw man if I could get a cheap FI kit, some used coilovers, and some light wheels this would be the ULTIMATE budget track car... Potentially sub $5k depending on the FI.

Exactly what I was thinking! The money from that could be used to get whatever else needs to be replaced done.

dat chain driven engine can probably take the pressure too!

Exactly! Wheels and an M3 front bumper (hate that black plastic) will cost around $1000, used coilovers can be had for anything. I'm thinking a fancy set will cost me maybe $600. Let's say $400 for maintenance. That leaves me $3k to FI this for a sub $5k track car..... WOW.

and leave some budget for upgrading the cooling system

E36s tend to overheat if not upgraded

Kinja'd!!!1

The only upside to the notorious overheating problem is how cheap/easy it is to upgrade it now

There is one more upside - not everyone knows that, so people are scared and dumping their cars cheap!
