This old Mercury Cougar sits in the parking garage where my brother parks for work every day. He says it showed up somewhere around September, and hasn't moved since. There's a thin layer of dust forming (not too bad yet), and the emissions sticker and county parking sticker have expired, though the registration stickers are still good.
Still not sure whether it's truly been abandoned or if it's just resting. It's a commuter lot, not really the sort of place where people store vintage automobiles. And parking is $170/month, so I'd imagine somebody out there must still be footing the bill for this thing.

Probably resting until spring breaks. The owner might not have a garage or something like that.

Seems like a decent hibernation spot for it.
My 68 Montego has been in hibernation since September/October in the garage.

I think it's a '76. Definitely a mean-looking year for that car.

Exactly. A while ago I posted a bunch of Porsche's I found hiding in the bottom of a huge parking garage.

Depends what the "lost ticket" rate is. Most garages I know of charge a full day rate. But even if the lost rate is a full month, $170 to store your classic for a few months isn't bad. Poor man's winter storage?
