I am heading up to Edmonton today for the first of three days of Solidworks composer training. Should be fun :)

Not sure where you are going from, but I "commuted" from Pittsburgh to Calgary 1 out of every 3 weeks for a couple years and really loathed going there in the winter. The lack of daylight, the colder than cold and the roads all covered with 6" of potholed snow/ice made it pretty miserable. Not hard to see why hockey is so popular up there.
SolidWorks is fun, though. I was up there on a Pro/ENGINEER project back in the day and I do miss that.

I live halfway between Calgary and Edmonton, so it is only an hour and a half trip.
Pro E was the first engineering CAD program I learned. Conveniently it is also the first one I forgot. I no longer list it on my resume haha. I would sooner put Solid Edge on it.
