Edit: Not actual picture. In my case the thing is actually on their lawn.
My new neighbors parked one of these on their lawn right outside my window .
But now I have Oppo, to share my pain.
Thank you.

Is their driveway full?

No! Not full.

I have a friend with one of these and I own nothing, nor am I, as reliable as that thing.

I know, I may as well despair at their choice of refrigerator. I guess it just says, "this is one topic you and I will have nothing to talk about."

Nice, those things are bulletproof. They may not be a McLaren P1, but i'll gladly take it when my german jalopys are down (which is ususal) lol. Drive Free or Die, this includes ecoboxes and mid engined V12 monsters.

Here's what you do: over the course of many months you sneak out at night and slowly yet surely paint the rest of the car beige: mirrors, tires, door handles, grille, everything. Make it the very embodiment of beigemobile.

You're right. If only they loved and drove it. It just sits there.
And oh, can I relate to the "german jalopies" comment. Amen brother.

I friggin' love this.
And again, if the neighbors loved and drove it, I would feel differently.

If you have to get a washing machine, then it might as well be an eighth-generation Corolla. It's kind of like a mini, FWD Crown Vic. The last, most modern version of how cars used to be.
Now that I think about it, actually driving one may change my views... But maybe not.

This is so perfect. Thanks!

Lol yup. But hey, maybe they are waiting for a supercharger kit to come in the mail? You never know :]

You my friend are an optimist of the first order, I love it!
I've been meaning to post a quick intro, but I used to drive (or try to...) an '87 Porsche 928S4. My next purchase was a Honda Civic. :-)

My wife had one of those, same color and all.

I used to leave the door open when I started it, just so I could hear that glorious V8 fire up.
The friend I bought it from had told her husband she wanted a "blue hatchback that can do at least 150mph," and this car was the result. It was so awesome when it worked. It felt like you could read braille on the ground through the steering wheel.

My wife doesn't really care about cars either. :-)

Meh. Older versions are better. That version had to be the ugliest.

That is an awesome description of the road feel lol. I just may have to steal that :]

My mother bought pretty much that exact car new in 2000. By 2005, it had been damaged a grand total of five times. My mom rear-ended a Silverado a week after she bought it, my stepbrother's girlfriend backed into it, my mom then hit a deer later that year, stepdad hit another deer, and then finally totaled it when he ran a red light and t-boned a Cadillac.
The Corolla never had a single issue despite the fact that I assumed either my parents were bad drivers or the car was cursed. Looking back, I think it was a mixture of both.

BEIGE UPDATE: The Corolla has moved off the lawn under its own power. Of course, it started right up without a problem, even after sitting for weeks. That is all.
