How do I stop being grey?

Once upon a time I could post on the FP without being grey. Then Kinja. Now grey. I've followed the Oppo rule even on the main page. I don't think I've ever pissed off one of the admins.....

Anybody?

Oppo admins have no control on your FP status.

FP un-grey requires being followed by Jalopnik proper, only the editors can do that. So take it up with them, because its their say in the end.

Make excellent comments, whether insightful or humorous and someone will notice and un-grey you.

Are your comments consistently not recommended out of the grey? Not good enough.

Timing is also more important than perhaps I'd like it to be. Get there early enough for people to notice your comments, otherwise they're fairly likely to be missed.

Yeah, I don't comment as much as I used to on the FP so I can understand the timing thing.

Isn't Matt Hardigree an editor or no? I know he's an author for actual articles.... He shows up on the list of persons following me.

I've decided it isn't worth the thought. It's like the popular kids on reddit, you just have to make a bunch of stupid puns or make annoyingly repetitive styled jokes.

Or you can write long, great articles on oppo and get published.
