Because they needed to catch up. They tied up the game shortly after that post, and won in overtime.

Yeah I just looked it up. Brutal. Although, at least it wasn't Russia they were playing. I can live with a Canadian gold and American silver.

The Russian women's hockey team hasn't been significant for a while. Although, to be honest, their men's team hasn't been great either.
