!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! is hazardously close to reality. Stop me with logic.

Considering lemons..
1. If trailer is "valued" at a figure between enough to call the car "$500" or the roll cage counts as safety upgrade costs.
I know, there's better values on car trailers.

Judging by the fact that the ad is in all caps lock I'd say you almost have to buy it! I'm sure that dog has guarded it well over the years so there's that

Get the owner to write out two bills of sale. One for the car at $500 and the other for the trailer and extra mechanical bits at $2,900 and only show the car's bill of sale to the LeMons judges. The trick will be to get him to not write what isn't on the car's bill of sale. I.E. if he writes "This bill of sale does not include..." then you may have some fibbing to do. What the LeMons judges don't know won't hurt you, and if the seller knows what LeMons is, then he may be willing to work with you. Bonus points if he writes the bills of sale out in all caps.
