Kinja'd!!!

Checked my "promotions" tab on my gmail today to see someone at Ford had kindly emailed me a 500$ "cash bonus" if I purchase a new ford on top of any and all existing offers. Some further sleuthing in this folder and I realize I ignored the 500$ cash offer from subaru, a 250$ cash + some "preferred" financing offer from hyundai, and a bunch of random auto show cash bonuses from January. I had little to no intention of buying any of these cars, but if I did I will gladly take a free 500$ or so. 500$ gets you an ECU flasher. 500$ gets a set of tires. 500$ gets you a set of super sweet hella rally lights. 500$ also looks great in your wallet, or in your bank account! 500$ for NOTHING!

So here's a tip to all jalops and oppos - sign up for the emails. Just do it. Slightly annoying, but you never know what you'll get or when you might need it. I just wish I had signed up for more.

Yep. $10 per month savings is nothing to sneeze at.

Haha.

I do this every. fucking. time.

Pardon my language, but I can't stress how worthwhile this is. If you have a separate email or a subfolder for the job, you should sign up for every stupid email giveaway you can. If you're smart about it, you can protect yourself from the shitstorm of spam this typically incurs and still have a chance at winning some free shit.

From shitty shirts, cups and mugs and key chains to rebates on new car purchases and more, it's worthwhile if you're smart about protecting yourself from the aformentioned potential shitstorm of spam.

I leased a Yaris years ago and I still get great offers from Toyota Canada and the Dealership emailed to me every few months - which would be great if I ever had any intention of buying a new Toyota.

Yeah I do those a lot which was why I had no problem signing up for a bunch at the NAIAS.

Well if you buy a new car, you get the 500. But the offer goes on top of any other offers out there and all I had to do was sign up for emails from ford. I take delivery of my Fiesta in March and so I just got an extra 500 taken off my loan for essentially nothing.
