I found this in a 1907 issue of the German satirical paper Simplicissimus . It's about a horse that drinks gasoline and, well, things go downhill from there.

My German is far from good, so please excuse the bad translation.

"Punished Envy

or How it went when a horse cab got drunk on an automobile's gasoline."
