As I am leaving the Giant parking lot after doing some shopping for my French beef stew, something stopped me dead in my tracks.
This has to be the most pristine example of a Model A I have ever seen. Whoever did this did a fantastic job.
Just wow.
Also, bonus Caddy LMP Hot Wheels I found in the 75 cent mystery packs!

Front license plates are an Abomination unto Nuggan.

Very nice 30-31 phaeton. Neat to see with the top up and all the side panels on. Also great color combo

Agreed, but why would you mount it there rather than on the bumper?

Beautiful car. That parking lot doesn't seem much bigger than any other I've seen.

Wow- that's pretty hard core; taking a Model A tourer shopping when there's still snow on the ground. Still, good to see machines that old still doing what Henry intended them to do.

If they would register it as historic they wouldn't have to run a front plate. In VA, a antique plate car doesn't have to run a front plate if there is no provision for it.

I imagine this happening in that store.
Also I need that french stew recipe :)

Where was this in VA? There's a guy who owns a similar-looking, pristine car in my neighborhood.

This is in Springfield, corner of Rolling Rd. and Old Keene Mill, if that helps!

That's close enough that it could be him just out and about, but that's also smack in the middle of Interesting Car Territory.

I really wanted to wait around for the owner to show up but I had perishables in the trunk. Damn you, milk and meat!

What, wasn't cold enough out? It's been hovering around freezing for the last three weeks! Usually below! Heh.

Well it was cold but also really sunny. But I am glad I was able to take some pics at least!

The recipe is from the Williams & Sonom french cook book, and I can definitely write it out for you if you want it. Here's the end result, by the way:

I see nothing. And no you dont have to write it out I think I will try to google it.

This was the second time I made it and it was amazingly delicious both times. I made half the recipe since it's just me, my wife, and my son, and it makes exactly 6 small ramekins (instead of the 2 cup ones they mention). But it is delicious and surprisingly hearty for being what seems like a small portion. I'm definitely making it a dinner party staple in my house! Let me know how it goes when you make it.

I will surely do that. I have been meaning to make either a shepherds pie or pot pie and this will be awesome methinks.

It really is. Plus, you just can't beat puff pastry.

The Model A tag brought me here to tell you I live five miles from that shopping center. Small world.
