I've just joined the probably large group of people to have gold-ed the last Goodwood event on GT6 using a controller. Feels good, but Lord March doesn't care. He'll send me a letter of commendation for lazing up his drive in those other scrub cars, but blast up it in an X1 and you won't even get a hand shake.

That shit was hard, but welcome to the club.

Sunnova bitch. I attempted it once. How many days did it take you?

I'm nearing gold on all goodwood (with wheel). Its a awesome yet short challenge. The audi quattro run was pure fun.

I pretty much silvered all of them after multiple tries, then played the x2014 fan car one till I got gold, and then got every other one gold on the first try by at least a second each.

I can't imagine how many times I took that event - TC off/On, Automatic... I think it was 30 tries.

Ha, well it only took me about four restarts to gold it.
But keep in mind that this is after golding all the Vettel challenges (a while ago) then putting in a bunch of practice laps in the X2014 fan car at Le Mans immediately before retrying the event. I had built up a remedial feel for the car and that's really what helped me keep my patience to gold it.

Yeah, the gold times are way more lax this time around.
I mean, I'm sure not complaining, just making an observation.

I know what you mean. I used to get super angry at the car and fiddle with the settings (mostly steering sensitivity) a lot.
But I just waltzed into Goodwood today, kept the settings I use for every other car, and showed that bastard who's boss.

Got gold on my first try with a G27. It was easy.

Yeah, It's been my experience that wheel users have a much easier time using the X1.
A stick may be quicker lock to lock, but a wheel allows finer adjustment and better suits muscle memory.

The rally car? I love that thing.
I was so excited when I saw it in that first 15th anniversary trailer.

Yeah, makes me wish Gt had more proper narrow rally courses. I loved throwing the car through the turns. Something about that style of driving is just amazing.

Oh man, a super long point-to-point stage would be a dream.

Give me a narrow point to point, some rally cars and a formula 3 and I'm set for life.

I apparently got lucky with this, I got it on my second try with a controller. But the car before It i had a bitch of a time with. probably spent 30 minutes on that one.

The R18? That was a pain.
Let's make someone pilot a fast diesel barge with a huge turning radius up an incredibly narrow and twisty path.
Sounds like fun.

Yup. that one, everytime I'd be taking it through a corner as soon as the torque curve hit the car would spin. It sucked so hard. Love the car IRL but hate it in GT.
