I took my wife and 14 month old daughter to IKEA today. I put my daughter in one of their crazy all-four-wheels-swivel carts, then proceeded to make tire squealing noises while doing mock four wheel drifts. It was more fun than it probably should have been. Anybody else this childish?

My 11 year old brother does the same thing!

I do that on my own without a kid.

I do the same thing there. I also do a moving donut with it. While walking down an aisle shoot the cart out in front a little and spin it. Those carts are fun when there isn't millions of people clogging the aisles.

Guilty. I like to drift thru the grocery store even without the kids...

Absolutely. My two 8-year-olds got on one, and we went tear-assing up and down the warehouse aisles. Massive donuts were spun. Good times.

When my boys were younger, I would put them in the cart at Costco, side by side, and push the cart from the front, so they were facing forward. Rear wheel steering made for some awesome drifting around the endcaps.

I do it without the kids in the cart. The Mrs. Rolls her eyes every time....

I'm lucky, mine just laughs and shakes her head.

I'll raise you a "daughter 'driving' while I call out pace notes."

I got my inspiration from a comment posted on the FP regarding rallying in Ikea.

Oh I get the chuckle and the head shake. But definitely ends with the eye roll.

All the time with the niece.

Also, I still run and jump down isles with her on my shoulders. I'm a little kid at heart for certain.

One time I took about 10 feet of their twine, tied it to the front of a cart in a wide-open, empty section of the parking lot, and spun my sister and her friend around in a huge circle for several minutes. I'm just disappointed that THEY couldn't give ME a ride.
