Typical Oregon rain made for a small turnout at Portland Cars and Coffee today. Many of the people who came picked up their orders of Girl Scout cookies, stayed warm inside and/or huddled under a canopy.
As such, only a handful of photos today taken with my D800E and an AF-S 50mm f/1.4G. The rest of the photos can be found on the Flickr thing.

That's quite the sticker collection.

Why do supercar owners hate rain? Seriously, it isn't like their car is on some semi-slicks. They usually have some form of high end summer tires, they should be fine in the rain!

I suppose the owners don't want to go through the process of cleaning their cars, particularly when the roads are still covered with gravel from the snow/freezing rain storm last weekend, deicer gunk and tons of grime.

lol, I might need the not drunk- avoiding potholes sticker, haha, roads here in Colorado are shitty!

Well I can understand hating salt. I try to never drive my car when salt is on the road. And when I have to(usually when I have to go to work, and I miss a bus or something) then I try to go clean it within the week. But like in the summer, if there is a car show and there is a 40% chance of rain, no super cars. It just gets dirty. . . I guess I should probably never own a Lambo then!

Haha... I think there are many states that need stickers like that due to ever decreasing road maintenance budgets :(

Even if I were rich enough to own a Lamborghini or a Ferrari 459 or F12, I would still stick with cars that I can daily drive and not be bothered if it gets dirty. :)

I really wanted a Murcielago for most of my teenage years. Now that I realize that you can't really race them or drive them with any sense of purpose(unless you have super fat stacks) the appeal is wearing off. For some reason now, when I get out of college, I want an 240sx to turn into a track day weapon with the occasional canyon runs.

lol, here maintenance doesn't matter, they do it continuesly but the snow every year just undoes all the work. There's 2 stickers that I'm for sure getting, witch are the Speedhunters sticker, and the Blipshift Apex Hunting license

If I want to splash a lot of money, I think I would top out at an R8, RS 7, M6 GC, 911 C4S or an E63 AMG wagon. Heck, I would be happy with a TT RS, Z4 M coupe or an E46 coupe if I didn't already have my S5.

For a dream garage I would love an E63 wagon, a Murcielago that has been turned into a GT1 car(don't ask why), and some sort of daily driver. I don't really desire many exotics besides an F40 or a Murcielago. I kind of want something I can tinker with, which an exotic is not ideal for.

There's always the option of picking up an older Ferrari or Porsche and use that as your tinkering or perpetual project car :)

I do want an 993. I have heard that the air cooled porsches are fairly simple. I don't think something like 308 gtb shouldn't be to complicated. I don't want to many project cars though!

308 GTB and air-cooled Porsches are common daily driver and/or project cars for some of the guys that come out to Cars and Coffee. If I were better with hand tools and weren't oafish around mechanical things, I would probably have a project car :)
Then again, that would eat in too much into my photography funds. Hmm...

I have zero experience with mechanical things as well. My dad never liked working on cars and the most I have done is change headers on my car. Only one way to learn though.
My funds generally consist of video games which is about 100 bucks a year, the rest goes to car things. We will see how that changes once I get out of school though.

It seems like the Noble guy is coming often now. Did you see the picture he took in the snow with it on the Facebook page?

I hate you for having the possibility of not driving when there's salt. I have actually ruined a pair of shoes with the salty water that came off my car while washing it...
