I was born a year after it sold in the U.S., but my sister bought it and eventually I inherited the game console.

I was an Atari household, and then a Nintendo household, I still think the SNES is the best overall console of all time and I was happy with my N64 until I played Gran Turismo at my cousin's house and it changed/ruined my life, both turning me into a hopeless car nerd and making me an unrepentant Playstation fanboy.

At least the PS1 was what resulted from the whole partnership between Nintendo and Sony to make a Super Nintendo CD fell apart.
