I was in Atlanta for the big ice storm back in... whatever it was, 2005 maybe. That was a clusterfark and no mistake. I missed out on the most recent one, but had friends in communication throughout- one stranded at the office, another ended up walking to meet someone along the interstate...

yeah, couple of weeks ago I was lucky. My wife was out of town and my kids' school closed, so I had to go get them. Luckily I left work just before the traffic got bad. My wife and her boss had to park the boss's SUV on I-75 and hike 3 miles in the snow.

OK, well CT's cool too. We have snow, ice, despair, regret, pain, suffering, road salt, inhumane windchill, clouds, sleet, darkness, and shame. And I'm rolling on summer tires since I'm too cheap to throw down on a set of winter tires. I miss living in Orlando. It was like a flat version of everything you describe.

Oh yeah, I forgot. You know those 80s shitheaps people on Oppo love? They're everywhere. Rust free. Rust free old cars everywhere.

And they have no front license plate requirements down there. Cali's government strikes me as being a little bit overbearing. Kinda like CT, but with nicer weather. And nicer beaches. But with stuck up women (I'm assuming). Are the chicks all stuck up princesses out there? After living in FL (where it's practically raining pussy), then moving back to CT, I was amazed by how holier-than-thou the women are up here. I'm picturing Cali being the same way.

There are ways around smog testing. And yeah, you can get a picket for no front plate and window tinting. But the tint is a fix it ticket, and most tint shops will remove them and reapply the tint for free if you get a ticket.

Cali women are just like women everywhere, although they are better looking (generally- we also have our fatties. All the Mexicans mean lots of Mexican food, which is tasty but the main flavors are LARD and cheese).

Man, I totally understand. You know, I was raised in a typical elitist New England liberal family, but I had to defect from the Left ever since Obama got elected. It's not that the Right pulled me in, but rather the Left pushed me away. The liberal media is ridiculous now. Ten years ago, Fox News was the channel with the worst reputation, but now MSNBC is quickly taking that spot.

The way the liberal media responded to the Trayvon Martin incident was totally nuts. I used to live in Sanford, FL, less than a mile from where that happened. I had never owned a gun before, but after moving there and seeing so much fucked up shit, it started to make a lot of sense.
