A FM-308 road bike. It looks awesome, only costs $460 (Frame, Fork, seat clamp, and paint job), everyone I've talked to that has one loves it and just LOOK at that color scheme!

Nice. Reminds me of the old Pinarello design. Proprietary headset sizing or is the bottom race just inset?

That's because it is based on an old Pinarello. After a frame becomes so old it becomes an "open frame" where anyone can make it.

Is it one of the chinarello frames? I've been wanting to get one of those sooo badly. If you get components, go to bikesdirect or whatever it's called and see if a entire (cheaper) bike with all dura ace MIGht be cheaper than buying the group set from a bike shop.

The problem is that I'm going with Campagnolo Veloce and bikes direct doesn't sell any campy stuff.

I call Pinarello knockoff. They put a lot of engineering into those muscular curves. I'm not sure how much engineering went into the copy. Be careful with "budget" carbon.

Oh yeah, they're a knockoff! I won't tell anyone otherwise however everyone that has had experience with this model has nothing but good things to say about it.

What components are you thinking of?

Campagnolo Veloce groupset, Hope headset, Deda Newton bars, Deda Zero stem, Specialized Romin Evo Pro Saddle, and finally Fulcrum Quattro wheels with Continental 4000s tires. All together it should come out to about $1700 and weigh about 15.5 pounds.

I've got Veloce on mine, with some FSA bits. Good stuff. I've ridden Athena, older Centaur, and Record. Campagnolo is really nice throughout the range in terms of feel. The only major differences are some functionality (single vs multiple upshifts) and materials/weight.

I'm heard that the only difference between centaur and veloce is aesthetics.

I remember when the design came out. Took one out from a former teammate, had a very nice ride from what i remember. Nice buy, same weave as well?

I haven't shopped around in a few years, but they still look pretty close, though different than what I have. They seem to have differentiated them a bit more in recent years.

But the older stuff is definitely visually damn near identical, but mechanically a bit different. I just so happen to have some Centaur on hand lol.
