I got a new phone recently and among the various camera functions it features is a 120 frames per second slow motion mode. I decided that this mode needed to be tested.

Clearly the best way to do this was to use cars and splashing water, because splashing water everywhere looks cool in slow motion. And because I am basically still a child.

Thankfully, I live in Seattle, the nations leader in having puddles. So I got right to it and for your enjoyment, I made a quick little video. Enjoy!

Your welcome, anything done to your Z or stock? Guessing you don't have the base model by the wing, and thus probably have atleast the factory LSD (I've got a base model, but should be buying a LSD this year for it :D)

It's dead stock, but it's an "Enthusiast" which was one step up from the base model. It came with a viscous LSD, which I make sure to carefully check the functionality of every so often.

Alright, mines bone stock till I get a LSD, could already just find a used one out of a Z I'm sure, but I'm just going to dish out the money for a aftermarket one, I should be getting a decent check soon from a union raise at work :)

Nice! Yeah, you should go aftermarket. The stock LSD is okay for sort of light duty, but it takes a moment to lock up and the locking up isn't particularly strong. It's probably fine for a stock car, but if you ever plan on adding any power, a stronger one would probably work a lot better.

I plan on a lot of power ;) eventually..first - LSD, then, suspension, brakes, wheels, then power...probably a shelled out interior somewhere in there, and after all that, I'll get to work on a wing and maybe some carbon fiber body panels ...I'll pretty much buy one part a year with how much I make right now, but I'll get there!! lol

That looks like a legit 120 fps, though it does do a sensor crop to get it done, how long can you record at 120?

I'm not really sure, I did a couple of takes of 3 minutes or so for each. When i pulled them off my phone they were 500-600 MB, i'm guessing it's just limited to space on the phone. Unfortunately it looks like max def in 120 fps mode is 720p, but that's not awful.

Awesome, I would complain about ripping out the interior, but since we're both 350Z owners we know that the car has a pretty..cough...uh "basic" interior. Sounds like yours will be quite the track day weapon when you get it finished (and probably before then as well, since it doesn't take a whole lot for the Z)

I work in Bellevue and have seen an increase in drivers of the Nissan Leaf. My parking garage at work has added two more charging stations to the three they put in last year.
