As an owner I really enjoyed the RCR Delorean review, especially since they stayed away from the BTTF angle that EVERY other review seems to take. The comments about the people are car shows are spot on. I have had people jump in the car on multiple occasions without asking. A dachshund even jumped in at one show, although that was more comical than anything. The car also gets covered in fingerprints because everyone wants to "touch" to see if it is really stainless. This behavior isn't just confined to car shows, it has happened to me in random parking lots when people get excited to find one at Shoprite or the like.
A lot of people complain about the "lack" of performance and I can tell you that it IS a fun car to drive even though it is not a modern Porsche or Vette. I auto-x mine, and use it most days during the summer and the most important factor in ownership is that it puts a smile on your face.

The faces on people when you auto-x it must be priceless.

The NJ BMWCCA is actually really accommodating, the the instructors are really helpful. But yeah, I do get some stares.

Well it _did_ have a flux capacitor.

It did, but there wasn't the stupid and overdone comparisons about going back in time and the like.

Anything can bring a smile to a person's face if they enjoy it. That factor has nothing to do with the quality or performance of the vehicle in comparison to it's competition. Some of the best smiles I have had were in cars I bought for next to nothing.
