!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . However, for that mountain of cash you don't get the original engine (sorry, I'm a muscle car guy so this is a sticking point for me), there's rust in the back and the passenger door is "a little janky". Go head and take a look and let me know what you think.

CP to me.

It's a pretty car, but that is definitely CP to me. Especially for one that isn't pristine. $6k is as much as I'd be willing to pay for that car after reading the ad.

Ah yes, the initial D tax strikes again.....A 6000$ car marked up to almost double. It's not the best car in the world but it is unique and different in this day and age. Just not 11k different.

Someone will pay it. There is a lot of work, and it's a car which is in demand with an engine swap which isn't absurd (it's an evolved version of the same engine architecture).

For my money, there are better ways to spend $11k, but it's not actually an insane price.

There's nothing original on that car at all. It falls into the 'it's worth what you can get someone to pay for it' category. For me, I'm just not at all interested in something that's 90% modified 10% original in that kind of condition unless it was priced to be disposable.

That's the best way I've ever seen it described - "initial D tax". Clever.

I'm on the fence. I'm sure it would be a great example for someone who loves the GTS, but the uninitiated that's E36 M3 money.

Totally with you. But none of the mods / parts on that list make me immediately panic. And like I said, I would spend my money elsewhere, but this is a mostly sorted AE with a ton of work, which runs and drives and is not going to get you into too much trouble.

The only things that would hold me back is the rust. Why do all that work and leave the rust? :/

I paid less than $4k for a '86 GTS Hatch that was taken care of by owner/friend of owner Toyota mechanics and the only rust is on the edge of the rear fender. All original except for some coilovers. If I were to spend the $8k difference mine would end up a lot better off than what's up for offer here. $6-7k? Nice Price Nearly $12k? Nope.

11K for a 6k car you say? Even at 6k that's a crack price for a 28 YEAR OLD CAROLLA...perspective people, perspective.

If it's exactly what you want, it's not a bad price.

Otherwise, CP
