If you pop your hood so you can manhandle your headlights to align them (silly gasket design where they meet the bumper means they sometimes shift out of place), make sure you CLOSE the hood before going to work the next day.
Saw it bouncing once I got to the highway, and pulled over at the next exit to secure it.
BUT, as a bonus, I think I know where my front end noise is coming from.... I did not hear it at all when the hood was 'open'. Once closed, it rattled the rest of the way to work.

I found a wrench under the hood of my old car that rattled around randomly.

I'm thinking its that, an old nut, or just the hood squeaking against the stops like my Crown Vics used to do.
It was too cold when I got to work to check.

It's your engine gnome knocking because he needs more fresh air.

Did that with a carbon fiber hood once. About shit my pants when it started to lift. Luckily I was able to get to a parking lot and close it completely before I lost it.
