How bad are they?
The roads in Toledo are so bad, drivers are weaving between the potholes only to slam into the car next to them, who is also trying to avoid losing a wheel to this ongoing, and worsening menace. I've never seen the roads around here deteriorate so badly. The main roadway into downtown looks like it's been carpet bombed. How bad is it in other parts of the great white north?

I don't know about in the Great White North, but here in Norther VA, it's quickly becoming an epidemic. It isn't carpet bomb bad everywhere, but they are on ever single road, and some are deep enough that you'll actually drive down into them and out again. It's bad.

All the pics in this thread look like potholes with road in them.

I am against SUVs in cities for the most part, but this can justify them assuming they actually are tough enough for offroad.

Detroit is somehow looking worse right now. Not only do the buildings look like they lost a battle or two in WWII. But now the roads look as if they are in a IED testing area.

Yeah, Toledo is the same way. After the '08 real estate crash, the inner city, not all that great to begin with, just went to complete shit. Many, many vacant houses and buildings. Not as bad as Detroit, I don't think anyplace else could be when you lose a 1/4 of your population base, but pretty scary nonetheless. The city has road crews out pretty much 24/7, either plowing the snow, which seems to be constant, or filling in potholes, which are everywhere. Good luck up in the "D", try to keep all four wheels intact.

Yea I'm just dodging them now. Had a friend last week call me to borrow my jack because he blew his tire ON woodward. Just shows that are main roads aren't even being maintained.

Here in WNY it's pretty bad. In the 15 years I've snowboarding, I have never had to drive down such bad highways.
