A recent post by !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! made me think; Is their any connection between the watches you own and the cars you like? This may vary for some, but for me, I believe it holds true.

I own two watches, a Casio Wave Ceptor WV-300, and a Casio Wave Ceptor MT-G. Now, I don't own a car, but when I get one or two, I know what they would be.

For the MT-G:

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

The SH Forester and the MT-G have a lot in common. They do everything well, and are quite capable. Neither are the prettiest in the world, but they are still easy on the eyes. The key here is durability; both will stand up to years of use and abuse.

For the WV-300

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Both the WV-300 and the CX Alcyone SVX have an quality of luxury and elegance that neither the MT-G or the Forester have. They are for that special occasion, when style comes before durability and you want to feel special. The styling of the WV-300 and the SVX are a bit quirky, which doesn't suit everyone's taste, but both are unique and something different.

Let's see your watches and favorite cars.

I don't own a watch so, as you could guess, I prefer Caterhams because weight reduction is the name of the game.

Classy as fuck, but pretty much useless

No glovebox/trunk pretty much, not saying it's useless, I'd just be to afraid to use it.

I've had times where I use my calculator as a clock. Does that mean I like precision and stuff.

Millenial: technically, but I hate that term and classification.

No interest in cars? Not even close. No interest in watches, sure.

obvs I was joking dude. You're on Oppo so you have to have more than a passing interest in vehicular transportation.

I cannot, for the life of me, find a decent PWR radiator to remedy the hilarious "coolant issue" most SVXers were plagued with.

I've got approximately 40 watches in my collection. Nothing particularly expensive but consumer stuff like Citizen, Seiko, Pulsar, and a few cheap Invictas.

I only have one car, though. (Well, two if you count my wife's car, but I never drive that.)

I have one of these

Kinja'd!!!

Kinja'd!!!

It's a SUUNTO Core, same watch that was used by Army Rangers (or maybe still used by them) it has an altimeter, barometer, dual time, and digital compass. It will even sound an alarm when the barometric pressure drops too fast, meaning a storm could be coming.

It looks cool and can pretty much do everything...so yeah-

Kinja'd!!!

That seems about right.

I haven't worn a watch in over 15 years. I do own a nice one, but it's in a drawer, never worn.

I buy whatever is cheapest at Walmart with a date and alarm function.

I do love cheap beater cars, so maybe there's something to this.

This makes me sad. I wear a Seiko automatic dive watch (SKX-009). It's rated for 200m, and has a spinning bezel for tracking time elapsed. I also drive a 2wd pickup. Neither is normally used for it's intended purpose, and when I start to try, I get no where near their rated capabilities. Both are a bit gaudy and like to run fast.

Either I have the perfect watch to match my truck, or I need to rethink my decisions in life.

My favorite car is a Chevy Volt, which is, in my opinion, the hybrid man's M5. Has absolutely nothing in common with the Timex Expedition Digital Indiglo-Water Resistant Turbo GTI Speed with the .000009$ compass option (it's a GTI Speed Turbo because it runs two minutes fast.)

Omega Speedmaster. Classy, understated, high quality, full of tradition, excellent design, very functional in many different situations (see the Apollo missions.)
Sounds like a Porsche 911

I've been rocking one of these since my G-shock short-circuited itself to death in early 2013 after almost 6 years of use.

- It's made in Asia with Japanese parts (JDMs YO)

- Looks relatively classy.

- Extremely mechanical - though not the most accurate or up-to-date.

- Relatively inexpensive. ($60 shipped to my front door in two days).

Kinja'd!!!

Sounds an awful lot like the Acura/Honda NSX, but seeing as I can't afford one, I guess my Acura Integra will suffice. :)

You are correct and that's why I didn't put a Z06, GS, etc in the picture. The base Vette is pretty elegant and class. Especially in silver
