I just saw an F Type in the flesh for the first time

...and I was kinda disappointed. Does that make me a bad person?

Its front looks like Maserati having a bad day, its back speaks of a C2 'Vette with a full daiper. It's too wide and too tall for its length. It just looks fat - it reminds me of my neighbours' BMW 650 convertible. And the interior is meh, and what's with those copper shift paddles?

I iz sad - it looked so pretty in pictures. Maybe it just doesn't suit black.

I haven't seen a coupe in person yet, but I have seen the convertible, and it doesn't do anything for me.

The coupe looks better to me in pics. Hopefully it holds up in the flesh.

I am not typically a lover of convertibles, nor a fan-boy of Jaaaags, but I was really impressed with what I saw when Top Gear reviewed it. As such, I was excited to see one at a dealer a few days ago. I must admit, after walking around and peering inside, I too was a bit underwhelmed. It is a step forward from the wannabe Astons of the past, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the coupe will be where the sexy is at.
