That's pretty cool looking in all honesty.
And instead of using Photoshop, try Paint.net. It's just as powerful as Photoshop, but a whole lot easier. All you would really need is some layers.

Wish I could of done a better job on the rims but it turned out okay. I want to learn Photoshop as part of my image processing technician job.

Do you use the Lasso tool? Or Selection Tool?

Selection, but you could try cheating with the select by color tool.

The rims actually look pretty good just blank, don't always need a ton of detail for an impact.

I don't use it because it's not the what I like. But, it can make the process easier.
