I didn't know these existed, and I didn't know my Safeway had hot wheels. Imagine how happy I was when I a) found Herbie, and b) realized Safeway had cars! I also found the elusive SRT Viper and bought 2.

Isn't weird that different areas get different cars in stock? We have tons of vipers and charger daytonas down here, but I have the hardest time finding a Mars rover or The back slider car haulers.
On a related note, I was talking to an older dude at Target yesterday who was also looking through the hot wheels and he told me he has 20,000 hot wheels at home, still in the cards! Even if he has half that many, that's crazy. My wife thinks my roughly 250 collection is too much, and they are all loose.

my local Safeway has lots of cars but I don't even bother looking at them because they have the nerve to charge $2.99/each. I refuse to pay over $1.50 for a basic Hotwheels.

At a dollar each, that guy's spent 20 grand on toy cars! That's more than a real car! Quite impressive. I've only got about 75 cars at the moment, but they're still taking up a bunch of space...
