And call it NoVa Motorsports. Stick it in the Dulles Industrial District in Chantilly, and do all manner of Auto buffoonery.

Get on board, and lets make it happen. You have any specialties?

Probably start with imports because that's what I'm familiar with, but I would love to move into American muscle after a while.

Ditto. and no. Changing my spark plugs was a big accomplishment for me. LOL

No. I'm 19, and have no automotive skills. I can be receptionist I guess.

well with a good legal team by your side (OSHA, licensing with the state, insurance, taxes, DBA, MSDS stuff, EPA, a staff, and automotive biz city codes) plus a couple millions of the moniez for a the actual shop and to start projects, build a good reputation and you'll be on your way buddy :]
I agree though buddy, I want to do that also. I'll drop off my C5 Avant Quattro at your place :] What would you do to it?

If I were to open a shop it'd be called either Speedbump Racing or Speedbump Industries..or Speedbump Motorsports..Speedbump something, lol
![]() 02/08/2014 at 16:25 |

That's good. You can't call your shop "NoVa" and not service American muscle.

Sounds like it'd be fun! Specialites - crazy ideas of how to accomplish auto buffoonery? :P

I'm in the same boat. But I have the business sense to assemble the team and run the back end for the major part lol

I have a CNC certificate and an associates in Mechanical Engineering soon to be a bachelors. I have experience working on cars.

Depends. What engine do you have? Lol

That's more than I got. I'm trying to figure out the business side and how to get the cash flow. Once I do, you'll be the first in line.

Haha. Mine all include modest power boost combined with extreme weight savings.

Atm the idea I hope to accomplish is 2jz swapping my Z33, getting it to about 600-650 whp, carbon fiber body, stripped interior.. I also hope to some day get a Prius, convert it to rwd, full cf body, stock appearing interior- but actually make false rear seats out of carbon fiber with the stock cloth cover, weld the back doors shut, hide a roll cage, motor swap, manual transmission, hydraulic hand break, stock paint..... sleeper drift Prius ... I shouldn't be left alone in a garage with tools is what im saying (y)

2.8 V6. My budget is $30,000 imaginary moniez :]

Nice :]

If you have a Z33, wouldn't your money be better spent adding F/I? Turbo if its an early 3.5, super of its one of the later HR engines.
![]() 02/08/2014 at 17:28 |
|
I've read about a lot of reliability issues with F/I Vq's is the thing, and I have a 06' (so the revisited DE/RevUp De)

I would spend the first 20k swapping the engine for a 4.2. One of the S4 ones with 330+ hp. Then I'd couple that with a small drop (nothing crazy), bigger stabilizer bars, and lighter wheels. I'm thinkin ultimate DD/Sleeper. And top you off with some dark satin gray paint and custom A6S badges.

I want to start one as well.
As my initials are S S, I'd call it 'SS Autoworks'.
Then, I'd buy a honking great ship and drag it onto land. I'd rechristen it the 'SS Autoworks' and I'd build my workshop inside it :)
