So it will indeed join the GTR and the NSX in the $x00K club. We at least get the 370z from nissan, but no one else from Japan is interested in the $30k-$40k sports car space anymore. What a shame.

I totally see this coming out as a new Supra. To me, the sketchy part of the link is saying there will be both the FRS and another coupe below it.

This is a great thing. What even better - I hope - is that this was released as a concept car so I think Toyota will make the styling less "extreme" in the production version. Some cool elements about it, but let's be real - the nose and tail for the most part: ugly. They tried to do too much. The front to a lesser degree - it's just not too nice looking - but the rear for sure - too much going on there.

Also, that article suggest a new entry-level coupe as well...
I wanna see what they do there. Prolly an anemic 1.3L FWD coupe, but I'm interested in seeing if they can pleasantly surprise me (i.e. with RWD - unlikely - or a legitimately small and light sportscar, <2500).

Sorry, but I think this car is hideous. Proportions are horrible, and that front end is absurdly ugly. As far as I'm concerned, it's Monster Truck food.

This does not look restrained to me, Toyota. But hey- something is better than nothing. NOW MAKE A NEW JZ-STYLE ENGINE. Possibly with Dual VVTi, perhaps?
