This may be nonsense to this specific car, but I remember seeing Jeremy Clarkson comment on a cars headlights saying they were shaped in an unusual way to move air in a specific way to calm the noise.

The Leaf. Supposedly the wind noise from the air going around the mirrors was pronounced so they put bulges in the headlights to deflect the air around them better.
