P1800? What? WHAT? (Updated with SR20, Update #2 with sadness)

Update: Here is SR20 from my friend. $14k. 24k original miles. Sweet Jesus.

Update #2: Went and saw the thing and I fucking fell in love immediately. Interior was great, no cracks in the dash. It was the 4 speed manual (not the 3 speed auto), paint was good, everything was there. I was dead set on buying it. I was so fucking happy. But, I was worried about how long it had sat, so I figured I would take it to my mechanic and have him look at it tomorrow. I call up Troll at Redline here in Austin who is a fantastic Volvo guy and ask him to look at it, he said he already worked on that car and that the floorpans are rusted to shit. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. He said he wouldn't buy it, certainly not at that price. I am full of sad. My bank account is full of happy but I am full of sad. Driving home I was so god damn excited, now I am just sad.

I have no SR20 because I have not seen the car but a friend of mine says he's been driving past a P1800ES that is for sale for the last several weeks on his way to work. He says the sign says it has 27,000 original miles (ZOMG) and that they're only asking $13,000. WHAT???? I MUST KNOW MORE. He's going to text me the exact location when he sees it on his way to work tomorrow. He says it's yellow and looks incredibly clean. I hope it looks like this:

Legend has it, there was a user "Sr20" long ago who claimed he drove a Lotus Esprit (I think he also claimed it had an Sr20 swap), yet never posted pictures of it. The term "Sr20" became the new "pics or it didn't happen"

The 1800 was built by Jenson in England so they had typical British quality issues but the 1800s replaced the 1800 in 1970 (I think) and was no longer built by Jenson. The 1800s was also more powerful and had a higher top speed. I think the wagon is built off of a 1800s platform not a 1800 so you should be fine

It was being sold on consignment. I was told that the owner was basically not willing to move on price. Plus I don't really want to spend the time and money on having it fixed, I know that's not very Jalop of me but I'm out of town for work most of the time anyways. Frankly this is a probably a good thing because I was going to empty my bank account which isn't a great idea. But I'm still very sad.
