Kinja'd!!!

So, I had a nice 1999 Grand Prix GTP with about 175000 miles. We had good times and other times when it tried to set me on fire but I still find letting go a little upsetting.

But I decided to fight fire with HEMI and got a 2006 Dodge Charger RT!

Helloooooo HEMI!

First thing I did was exhaust, had to make it nice and loud.
Then I installed a Hurst short throw, made a world of difference in the shifts. It's pretty loud though, so it's nice to have the exhaust.
Other popular mods are: Diablo tuner and/or skip shift eliminator (if manual).
Lots of people install CAIs but from what I've seen there is no real gain over stock. Apparently it was very well designed from the start.
Next thing I am going to do is new brakes, wheels and tires.

Around here, everyone in front of me slows down. Wait until that starts.

No, I wish they did though. I have a Challenger R/T Classic, same car basically just 2 less doors and an extra pedal.
I realized after I posted about the shifter that they never made the Charger with a manual, so those were kind of pointless suggestions.
All the engine and drivetrain mods should be the same though. Was going to mention that I want to also get an Eibach suspension kit.
I've also installed a front strut tower brace, it stiffened up the front nicely and you can feel it in the corners. Want to get the rear one soon too.
