I know, these threads are a bit overdone, but they did ANOTHER NEEDLESS update today, and the fucking thing got even worse!
Ok Kinja devs, here are my 3 biggest grievances in the DESIGN of Kinja (yes, it also has bugs, but that's how software development goes sometimes, and presumably those will get ironed out over the course of the next 35 years)
1) Quit bouncing me back to the goddamned top of the page. Click "Reply"? Top of the page. Click add image? Top of the page. Wait too long with the WYSIWYG editor open? Top of the page. Jesus guys.
2) Put the "Read" Link back on the end of the summaries. Ok, this one is new, and it seemingly came out today. I middle click links to open them because Grievance #1. Now you've given me an even smaller target that only shows up if there is at least 2 paragraphs of text (Those dumb little ">>"). There was at least one FP occurance where I didn't even get the dumb arrows. Couldn't middle click. Had to main click. Read the article and clicked back. GRIEVANCE #1 RAAAWR
3) See #1 (I really did have a third one, but the first two irked me so bad that my short-term memory fried out on me. Can't remember what the third one was. I'm sure i'll remember tonight, juuuuust as I'm about to fall asleep. Thinking about it will keep me up for hours).
EDIT: #3! Right! They fucked up COTD again. That is all.

1) I've noticed this as well, but only when composing.
2) I'm guessing middle click is open in a new tab/window? If so, you can do the same thing by holding Ctrl while clicking. And you don't need to do it on the chevrons ">>", you can do it on the title or the picture, or even on the body text. The whole thing is a link. Just beware of external links (in blue) within the body text - they lead you to the external page and not to the post content.
Personally, I like it. I never understood why it sometimes said "Read" and the rest of the time it said "Discuss". This is more consistent, at least.
3) I don't often look at the COTD, so I wouldn't notice the difference.
