This guy has been trying to sell a 2006 Volvo S60R/V70R Sales Brochure for like... at LEAST a year. I've had it in my watch list so long that its been relisted 3 times and I forgot about it for a long time until last week.
he wants 30 dollars, which feels like a lot, but it looks like its in almost new shape and... Well Its about the R cars, what else is there to say

Do it, and then wrap it in plastic. THEN sell it in 30 years for massive profit!

Are you 850R shrine guy? Sorry, I keep forgetting.

Last I checked I didn't have a 850R shrine so I don't think thats me

Maybe in 30 years I can get like... 40 dollars for it lol

I didn't know buying old sales brochures was even a thing. Huh.

Make him an offer of $20-25 and see if he'll take it. The worst he can say is no.
I bought the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 brochure with picture cd for a friend's son, I wish I'd kept it for myself but hey. If you think its worth getting, go for it.

I have quite a few of them, but 90% of them I got out of my friends dads garage. He had bins full of them that he got from auto shows over the years.
This one I got for 10 dollars off of one of the forums just because it goes with my car
I managed to find a 03 maruader one cheap to so I figured what the hell
This one I was given by a friend after he sold his 04 GTO. This was given to people who actually bought the car, this isn't what you grabbed off the rack in the showroom.
This is just part of my "collection", I have plenty I have never uploaded.

With inflation, $40 sounds about right lol.

I might as well, he's had it forever you'd think he would put a "make offer" button up now.

That is actually really cool. I never thought about collecting them but, considering the subject matter, why not?

People collect everything , I'm sure someone out there is collecting used pizza protectors...
Hell, remember that popular story posted here on oppo about "what car enthusiasts look like to outsiders" and the example given was about wash machines? Then like a week later the OP found out there actually are people who collect vintage wash machines?

There is a decently sized group of enthusiasts who do this, myself included. My collection is over 200 pieces of literature, most of which I've obtained for free. I've bought a fair amount, too. Mostly just obscure and rare pieces for cheap at local car show flea markets. (You can see some of them mixed in.)

I've got that Marauder one around somewhere. Had signed up for a newsletter when I heard about the then new Marauder and a few weeks later got this huge packet in the mail. It was awesome.

I was in the 7th grade when this car came out and I didn't even know it existed until after 8th grade when I saw two left overs on the mercury lot in the summer of 05. I've heard about that stuff though.
When you bought the car they also gave you a leather jacket and a letter. I have neither for my car lol

The watch list is mighty fun. I used to share a eBay account with a friend. While he was on a camping trip (and on his iPhone) I decided to go on the "weird stuff" section of eBay and watched a tom of things. Including a massive wooden dildo, several questionable bumper stickers who would make a cop feel uncomfortable, and I think even a shrunken head. eBay sells those.

Whoa there cowboy! The one I was talking about was like a foot long, not a 200 pound as thick as a tree trunk!

When I went to the car shows I took as many as I could, then when I got home, go through them and keep a select few that were worth keeping. I have a lot of brochures hanging around. They make for some good bathroom reading.

He may of forgot the reason he's selling it is for the money or the space back in his house (granted they don't take up much space) and feels like the price he wants is the only price he'll sell it for. Good luck, you don't ask, you don't get.
