Remember the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! Well recently, that same guy probably remembered where he parked the 1 of 3 hypercar, and looking at it one last time, decided that a Mclaren P1 would suit him better.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
All we can do about this is pray he doesn't forget he parked his brand new million dollar car in a a parking lot again. Things aren't looking up however, as dust and possible cobwebs seem to be already accumulating on the back.

I wonder how many Mercs and Audis he has abandoned.
"Hey Bob didn't you used to have a black Audi A8 for casual nights out?"
"Oh yeah I kind of remember that car.
Wait a minute I don't recall having my assistant sell it for me.
Hmm.
I think I left it at the pub a few months ago when I was too drunk to drive home. I wonder what happened to it."

morons like this shouldnt be allowed to buy w/e . remember what ferrari was doing with its cars? only letting certain people buy it? I have a feeling this is something the rest of the high end manufactuers should do, at least for the really expensive/rare/limited production cars
![]() 02/05/2014 at 19:58 |

Wow that thing looks badass in black.
![]() 02/05/2014 at 20:00 |

But the people who Ferrari lets buy those cars seem to be the ones who also lock them away forever.
![]() 02/05/2014 at 20:01 |

Also Jalopnik is wrong. The Trevita was 5million dollars new.
![]() 02/05/2014 at 20:02 |

personally? id prefer the guy who locks it away then the guy who forgets he has it
![]() 02/05/2014 at 20:05 |

If I won a serious lottery I would try hard not to waste it on super expensive cars, but the P1 would be the one if I did. I could care less about the hybrid aspect. I love the look and the performance. Just looking at it makes me want to hoon.

WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE
![]() 02/05/2014 at 20:19 |

Yeah at least the guy locking it away cares for it and most likely keeps it well maintained

Who wants to fly there with me and steal this? He won't even notice or care. I feel really bad for those who care about their cars and have them stolen (like that 1000 hp challenger :-( but this is a crime and he no longer deserves it. This is like buying a picasso or rembrandt and then saying "fuck it, just leave it in the basement" and having it rot. Whoever wants to do it can split time driving it with me
![]() 02/05/2014 at 21:03 |

Yep. Agreed. Unless he bought it used.

If morons like this weren't allowed to buy these cars, these cars probably wouldn't exist. I personally couldn't care less about what other people choose to do with their money.
![]() 02/06/2014 at 13:12 |

They don't buy these cars for driving - they buy them to tell other people what car they own.
![]() 02/06/2014 at 13:12 |

You guys don't get it, buying super expensive cars and being all nonchalant about them is the most baller thing ever.
"Oh, were you talking about the McLaren P1? Yeah.... I've got one of those things around here somewhere... it's pretty awesome... I don't even drive it...whatever..."
That's baller.

This is one of the cleanest, most well-lit parking garage I have ever seen. Better than the rape caves we tend to see in the US.

Its like seeing an amazing women with some rich asshole. She deserves so much better. Open Freeways, Passing lanes, Track days and Regular hand washes so I can feel her curves. =( "Just hold on we're going home!" (drake voice)

Since when does parking in a private garage for a couple of months = abandoned?

The rear end on that p1 is insane.

![]() 02/06/2014 at 13:18 |

personally id rather seem them locked away, because someone who has the money to buy one and lock it away also has money to hire someone to dust it and take care of the maintenance.... the other people who buy these fine automotive art and let them sit because they forget are not real car enthusiast, they just buy it so they can brag to all their friends that they have one.... i hope all high quality manufactures start doing the 'Ferrari challenge' as i like to refer to it as... where u literally have to jump through hula hoops to get one and then prove to them that the car will be taken care of, as if it were a small baby...
![]() 02/06/2014 at 13:18 |

...and he left the rear wing locked up

![]() 02/06/2014 at 13:25 |

Don't know about you guys, but if I paid five million dollars for a car and left it in a garage for a while, I would buy the next spot and keep it empty. How will he ever find the asshat who dings it?
![]() 02/06/2014 at 13:27 |

The owner is Hans Gross, the CEO of RunningBall. Personally, I see nothing wrong with the way the Trevita was parked and I see nothing wrong with replacing it with a P1. But then again I have enough impulse control to withhold my emotions when there is something slightly out of place but clearly not harming anyone.

We'll have to break that 17 year old out of jail that stole Guy Fieri's Lambo and get him to help us plan it.
Then turn him back into the police before he shoots one of us......

Well, it is winter there. I wouldn't consider the P1 a good winter DD.
![]() 02/06/2014 at 13:35 |

This is some kind of messed up viral/guerrilla marketing tactic by these super car manufacturers.
I bet both those "cars" were really life size cardboard models.
If and when the "Abandoned" La Ferrari shows up, someone throw a match at it and see what happens.
Unless it's already on fire ... Hey-yoooooh!
![]() 02/06/2014 at 13:37 |

He probably would like that.
![]() 02/06/2014 at 13:39 |

Oh my god the Koeniggsegg looks ugly and shed-built when viewed on the same page as a P1.
![]() 02/06/2014 at 13:40 |
|
Now he's a masochist? :O
![]() 02/06/2014 at 13:48 |

Maybe, just MAYBE, he's a huge Jalop and parked these cars in a vaguely public area so gearheads like us can go and see them whenever we want?
![]() 02/06/2014 at 13:52 |
|
Nah this is in an open parking garage and nobody will be able to catch up with us so just break the window and have a tutorial on hot wiring beforehand. Of course it'll probably be a bajillion dollars to replace the window but whatever
![]() 02/06/2014 at 13:53 |

Stories like this make me want to believe in Heaven & Hell because this guy needs to rot (unlike his abandoned x-million-dollar cars). Or I could win the lottery (Power Ball/Mega Millions); that would work too.

Did we ever establish that the koenigsegg was abandoned? A month isn't that long.
Does anybody know who this guy is? What if he's one of the nicest guys you ever met and has to travel so much for his work that his super cars get left for longer than we deem is appropriate.
![]() 02/06/2014 at 14:17 |

I'm not either. I'm more of a Lewis Black kind of guy. This just fit!

not the biggest fan of the P1 due to the lack of development (Ie tarting up the same ol 3.8l and the same monocoque as the 12c) but good god does that car look sinister in black. Can't wait to see a la ferrari in black.

A million dollar P1 is probably more like his Segway when his daily driver is a $40 million G6. And how often do you use your Segway?

Why is it considered abandoned if he left it there for 1-2 months?? This guy probably is driven around wherever he needs to go. I haven't moved my car for probably at least 2 months, but then again I drive a civic and use public transportation.
![]() 02/06/2014 at 15:30 |

![]() 02/06/2014 at 15:32 |

If i had a car like that i wouldn't dare leave it out of sight, especially in a public parking lot!
![]() 02/06/2014 at 15:43 |

I feel like there should be some sort of program in place to decide who is "worthy" of these cars- A few show/display models are acceptable for posterity/museums- But if you can go more than a week without driving this car, and not because you're in another country , then this car is too good for you.
I realize that people would have a problem with that, but imagine what it would do for public perception ( specifically jalops and jalop-like folk ) if a company refused to sell people cars because they wouldn't drive the pants off of them at every opportunity?
![]() 02/06/2014 at 15:52 |

I LOL at all the hate in here. Who cares what he does with his own cars, he surely doesn't. This person clearly makes more money and everyone on this website combined. Not like any of us could afford this car anyway. Stressing out over nothing.
![]() 02/06/2014 at 15:53 |

like you could ever get one anyway. I'm sure this person has enough money to convince any car brand to sell them a car.
![]() 02/06/2014 at 15:54 |

![]() 02/06/2014 at 16:00 |

![]() 02/06/2014 at 16:00 |
|
What makes you think its forgotten about? Maybe he's too busy driving his other 50+ cars.
![]() 02/06/2014 at 16:08 |
|
That would be so funny
I have to DD a new sports car for at LEAST 3 months until I feel like I really know it well. That's when I get more comfortable pushing it hard and when it gets more enjoyable to drive.
If you had so many cars that you rarely drove them then every time you got in one it would feel like it does when you drive a friend's car. Exciting but also kind of unnerving because you aren't familiar enough with the car's specific handling traits to really feel comfortable in it.
![]() 02/06/2014 at 16:18 |

You would think the folks at Mclaren would find better homes for their products considering they are in such high demand. This guy probably got one before Leno and its already dropped in value solely because he's the owner.

Some things are important you know!

I hate hate hate this stupid, hideous spoiler. Koenigsegggsgegsggegsgs have only been getting uglier and uglier since the CCX. all they've done is tart up the exterior with terrible wings, vents, & paintjobs
I used to love them, but the Agera is so halfassed I don't have any faith in them anymore

Ahhh. I see now...
![]() 02/06/2014 at 16:51 |

OK, of course the car is completely developed, they spent millions and it has the most current cutting edge technology, thats great. Its still the same monocoque and block as the car that costs 750k less.
I agree with Horacio Pagani, its not that exciting, its a hopped up mp4-12c with some kers installed. The Porsche is much more interesting from an engineering standpoint, and the la ferrari was developed from the ground up (i assume the block is the one from the f12)
![]() 02/06/2014 at 16:56 |

The recommended article about this guy's Koenigsegg has a title that calls it a $2 million car. I thin that's what the original comment is referring to.

Dear owners of cars with moveable wings,
They come up at speed for a reason. We all get that. Now get this. If you drive around town and/or park with yours manually extended like some sort of puffed up mechanical peacock tail, you're trying way too hard. Relax already.
![]() 02/06/2014 at 17:13 |

Why leave it up? Another douche thing to do, like the 911 owners who have their wing up all the time just to look cool.
