Not that global, right?
Great to see Rally Cross grow nonetheless, I am really looking forward to the World Championship and the US focused Red Bull GRC.

Silly name for an American championship. Now I wonder how many of the foreign drivers will continue in this series? Last years champion Heikkinen has left for WorldRX already..

FIA World RallyCross isn't much better, given that it's really just European rallycross with token events in Canada and Argentina.
But yes, "Global Rallycross" is an absolute farce of a name.

As long as the Subies are still competing, I'm willing to make the 2 hour trek up to Seattle to check it out. Hope It's at an actual track and not inside a parking lot or in CenturyLink Field.

The event in Turkey is by some definitions in Asia. But two events outside Europe isn't that bad for a first season as a world championship. Even WRC has only three events outside Europe. It's that sweet spot in todays economy where you have enough events and still a lot of regular drivers.

No sillier than baseball's "World Series" or describing the NFL's Super Bowl-winning team as "World Champions".
All are silly really, but I guess my point is, there's precedent.
