Even though they say they're coming back, I wanna see a new model from them!

Duesenberg without a doubt.

I could get behind Packard (as a Mercedes S-Class Pullman and Rolls Royce and Bentley fighter) and Duesenberg. Though I'm not as sure where Duesenberg will fit into the market... maybe as a Bentley Continental SS fighter?

Duesenberg doesn't "fight" Bentley. Duesenberg, the old Duesenberg, would have made the Continental SS its little bitch.

I whole heartedly agree with that. I'm just not sure where they would fit in the market and the Conti SS as the modern car that best fits what a Duesenberg was: a fast, luxurious tourer.

Duesenberg would most likely compete with Bugatti and the top of the line Rolls Royce sedans, although I'd imagine them being much faster than the Rolls.
The SJ did 0-60 in 8 seconds in 1935. That's not slow today, so I think Bugatti would be the only fair comparison.

As much as I would love Duesenberg, I picked Studebaker, another local-to-me Indiana company. In fact, I visited the remains of its factories yesterday.
Anyway, Studebaker deserves another shot because they were a brilliant brand. They were unabashedly American, but also retained more of a European aesthetic and experience than its domestic rivals. It was tough being the underdog though in those days. Unfair media reports of its imminent demise became a self-fulfilling prophecy when customers were afraid to end up with an orphan car.
They also deserve a chance for what they could be to the American market today. If they retained their original style, I could see them being a rival for a segment that doesn't quite exist. I'm thinking Buick, but less luxury and old-person, and more BMW. Maybe if you combined BMW and Buick... I suppose you'd end up with a less-premium Mercedes-Benz. I could see Studebaker filling that sort of niche, but with a wider selection of mainstream cars. It would probably be closer to what BMW and Mercedes have in Europe than what they are here in the US. And yet, they could still go mad and have a sports car like the Avanti with a big American OHV V8, but European sophistication.

Makes sense.

Not in the poll, but:
This is like an american Citroën, but awesome-r. Weird, innovative, and ahead of its time.
And it had a 5.4-liter flat 6, how cool is that? The only cooler thing was the prototype engine which has a fuel-injected 9.65L Flat 6! With oil-pressure operated valves!
Imagine a modern transposition of these cars? They would have something like a hydrogen, electric assisted 2.0 V12 that revs to 12 000rpm. At least.

It was hard to not pick one on the list, but the one I'd like to see back most has gotta be Cord
I saw one in a museum when I was 8 or something. In baby blue, I think my jaw actually dropped.

I might be an outlier, 'cause I got no car design sense except at a user level, but I would have loved to have seen a Tucker today, extrapolated from their design center. But maybe that's just me being weird.

Duesenberg! How cool would it be to have an american company competing with Rolls Royce!

I love Packards and many other manufacturers that have gone extinct. But I don't want them to make comeback. New cars suck and revived cars would just be just as dumb, boring and ugly as the other modern cars.

Bring back the DS21 - modernize it with the flat six it was supposed to get.
